Stephen Marotta has been creating art for as long as he can remember. As a child he
spent countless hours sketching and doodling. Eventually, a passion and
intensity for sports began to play a more prominent role in his artwork.
While under the guidance and support of his mentor, Edwin Havas, Stephen received a BA
degree in Fine Arts and Advertising Art from Seton Hall University in 1991.
On the advice of Mr. Havas, he attended Montclair State University
and received an MAT degree in 1995. He is currently employed as a Visual Arts
Specialist within the Elizabeth, New Jersey School System.
His artwork has been displayed in local galleries
and other
venues throughout the Metropolitan area
including The Meadowlands Racetrack, Morris
County Courthouse, Georgian Court College,
Montclair State University and The Ringwood
Manor.
The incredible photo-realism of his paintings makes
one feel as if they are a spectator at the
event portrayed.
Truly it is like being at the game.
